The book encompasses a superb collection of rare photographs, drawings, reproductions; and unlocks the architectural changes that took place in Doha from urban transition in the 1950s to urban necessity in the 1960s to urban modernity in 1970s. The historical events during these decades have shaped the city’s evolution.

The book also shines a light on the 1960s movement named by the author “Arabian Deco.” The exhibition contains book highlights depicted through 3D-printed models and architectural illustrations with a focus on the buildings from the Arabian Deco era.
