Driven by the success with ongoing Parisian-inspired mixed use development project; Place Vendôme, the firm proposed to design Le Petit Paris, a new addition to the ongoing project that will be located adjacent to the development, as a part of Qatar Entertainment City.
French for ‘Little Paris’ and literal in its name, Le Petit Paris is a project envisioned to bring a touch of Paris to Doha through its luxurious neo-classical design approach. Sited at a prime waterfront location in Lusail and encompassing a plot area of 139,040m², the mixed-use development will act as another attractive landmark harmoniously neighbouring Place Vendôme through their shared architectural language. It aims to create a community that combines indoor and outdoor leisure, shopping, entertainment, residential areas and more where the two projects will be interconnected by underground pedestrian links.
Le Petit Paris consists of a large open pedestrian plaza in the form of a linear design inspired by the famous Champs-Élysées Boulevard in Paris. Two 5-star hotels covering an area of 48,500m² are located at one end of the plaza with their own private beach and unique views overlooking the sea. These hotels are inspired by the Louvre Pyramid. Walking towards the other end, visitors can find food and beverage outlets with outdoor seating and shops on the ground level, while apartments occupy the floors above. The vibrant plaza leads toward an artistic Parisian sculpture/structure that stands in the centre acting as a landmark within the development as well as an aesthetical tourist attraction. The project aims to become a lasting attraction for citizens, residents and visitors for the years ahead.
