Recreating the heritage of Old Doha, the project is part of an extensive research that included data collection and research of Old Doha of 1940s, 1950s and 1960s. The team recreated the heritage clusters of circa 1954, of a staggering 3500 + building blocks, that will be 3D printed and installed at a prominent location in the heart of Doha.

The process involved Complete historical study for the buildings, roads, landscape, commercial establishments, transportation hubs, type of cars used, ports, ship circulation and number & type of boats, commercial cargo ships etc.

An accurate study of shoreline and shore-edge treatment at various locations.

A study of building materials, finishes, color schemes prevalent during the study period.

A comprehensive study and characterization of lifestyle. A study of type of tree, plant types with area of vegetation existed.

Study of night life and lighting conditions during the study period.
