Our Chief Architect, Mr. Ibrahim M. Jaidah, had an opportunity to work on decorative light poles which will beautify the streets of Corniche. The commencement for the installation of 1440 lights has been announced. The work is predicted to be completed by the second quarter of 2022, the Public Work Authorities (Ashghal) said in the statement.
The design of the light poles is inspired by the palm fronds which reflect the Qatari identity. The light poles will be manufactured locally using local raw materials. LED bulbs will be utilized to highlight the design in the night.
The light poles will be installed along a distance of 10 kilometers from Ras Abu Aboud flyover to the traffic light nearby Sheraton Doha. We are proud to have been a part of this project, and helped create light poles that serve function of artworks in addition to their utilitarian value.
