Rosewood Hotels and Residences, our project under construction in Qatar’s fastest growing city, Lusail, won the Chicago Athenaeum International Architecture Award for its exceptional concept. This award is another addition to our company’s rich award track record.
The Chicago Athenaeum International Architecture Award was instituted to honor the best, significant new buildings, landscape architecture, and planning projects designed and/or built around the world by leading architects, landscape architects, and urban planners practicing internationally.
The recognition was given for Rosewood’s outstanding design, which is based on the underwater forms, specifically the local coral formations.
Commenting on the award, Mr. Ibrahim M. Jaidah, our CEO and Chief Architect said:
‘I am very proud of winning this international award for the Rosewood Hotels and Residences. This project is important not only because of its magnificent scale and location, but also the source of its inspiration- the coral of our sea. We managed to translate our culture in such a contemporary manner. I think this is a well-deserved award and I am quite optimistic about winning many awards to come.’
The award receipt testifies of our company’s mission to stay at the forefront of technology and resource development in the construction industry while bridging the tradition with modernity.
